Local Services
There are many NHS services available when you are unwell and it’s important that you access the right service for the care that you require.
Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Intergrated Care Board (ICB) have devised some really useful information to help guide you when you need help. Full information is available here.
Adult ADHD and Autism Diagnosis - Right to choose
If you live in England and your GP agrees you need an assessment for autism or ADHD, you have the legal right to choose which NHS-approved provider you want to go to. This includes clinics outside the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area and some independent providers that work with the NHS.
Full information is available here.
There are currently long wait times for the local ADHD and Autism services, however please be reassured that Right to Choose (RTC) remains available as a route to ADHD and Autism assessment.
It is important to note that RTC is a right to choose a service provider and not a right to referral. A GP must agree that an assessment is right for the patient before a referral can be made. It is helpful if you are able to do some prior investigation on your preferred provider in advance of contacting us. We would suggest a google search of 'ADHD and Autism Right to Choose South Glos'.
